FRANKIE STEIN

De volta à roupa, estou agora a tratar do fato de boneca "Frankie Stein" para a Matilde. Como era de esperar não conseguimos um tecido axadrezado minimamente parecido com o utilizado no vestido da boneca e não tivemos outro remédio senão comprar tecidos lisos. A ideia é recortar o tecido preto em quadrados e cose-los no tecido azul.  No entanto, o tecido azul tem uma particularidade desfavorável, é muito elástico e pesado, o que não é bom para o efeito desejado, já que é condição "sine qua non" que fique todo armado e tufado na saia. Vou tentar dar-lhe armação com entretela, a ver se resulta...

Back to the clothes, I´m now taking care of the "Frankie Stein" doll costume for Matilde. As expected we were unable to find a tartan fabric minimally close to the one used in the doll dress and we had no other choice but to buy plain fabrics. The idea is to cut the black fabric into squares and sew them in the blue fabric. However the blue fabric has a adverse particularity, is too elastic and very heavy, which is not good for the desired effect, since it´s condition "sine qua non" is to get a tufted skirt. I'll try to give it frame with fusible interfacing, let´s see if it works ...
