LANCHEIRA

Mais uma encomenda personalizada... desta vez, uma lancheira! A Anabela tinha já uma ideia definida do que queria e pediu-me para a concretizar. Como ainda não tinha feito nenhuma fiquei entusiasmada com a ideia:) 

O primeiro passo foi investigar quais os materiais necessários e onde adquiri-los para produzir este artigo. A Internet é fabulosa para investigar sobre qualquer assunto mas quando não sabemos a designação correcta daquilo que procuramos acabamos por demorar mais tempo do que gostaríamos J Foi o caso do "enchimento isolante térmico" um dos materiais que utilizei. Até chegar a estas três palavras procurei por revestimento térmico e outros tantos termos mais que se adequavam mais à construção (a minha área de trabalho por defeito), do que propriamente à costura. 

Fui ao AKI e ao Leroy Merlin ver o que tinham, só para chegar à conclusão de que não era bem o que pretendia. É claro que também tentei "lancheira" que me orientou para imensas páginas de venda de lancheiras, depois tentei tutoriais de "como fazer uma lancheira" e dei com outros tantos, igualmente parcos na identificação do material em causa. Ainda assim, foi num tutorial que dei com uma marca comercial do produto em causa e finalmente encontrei-o num site de venda online aqui em Portugal: - Bem-haja!!!! Espero que a Anabela goste:)))))))

Another personalized order... a lunch bag! Anabela had already a specific idea of what she wanted and asked me to make it. As I’ve never done a lunch bag I was thrilled with the idea :) So I investigated the materials I needed to produce this item and where to purchase them. The internet is fabulous to investigate about any matter but when we don´t know the correct name for what we seek it takes longer than we wished J  It was the case of "insulating wadding" one of the materials I used. Until I got these two words I searched for "insulated lining" and many other terms more appropriate  for construction (my work area by default) than to the seam area. I went to shops like AKI and Leroy Merlin to see what they had and I come to the conclusion that it was not what I intended. Of course I also tried "lunch bags" that led me to several pages of lunch bags selling, then I tried tutorials "how to make a lunch bag" I saw many others but still scarce in the identification of the concerned material. Nevertheless, it was a tutorial that gave me a trademark of the product in question and finally found it on a website selling online here in Portugal "Thank goodness!!" I hope Anabela likes it :)))))))
